Robo Master

BUILD. LEARN. COMPETE.

Ontario Tech Robotics also has a team that focuses on 1v1 battles in the RoboMaster University League (RMUL), a pioneering platform by DJI that transcends conventional boundaries in the realm of robotics and academic exchange. Every year, our dedicated team of over 30 students goes through the trials and excitement of building, designing, and programming a robot that can win time competitions, mix with a mix of interesting design, fascinating computer vision systems, and more.

SUBTEAMS

MECHANICAL

The RoboMaster Mechanical team crafts the physical robot, ensuring it is robust, agile, and ready for battle. They design and fabricate the robot's structures and mechanisms, ensuring it can withstand the rigors of competition.

PROGRAMMING

The Programming Team consists of three seperate subteams: Embedded Systems, Computer Vision and Web Development. The embedded systems team focuses on the robot's firmware, the computer vision team focuses on the robot's perception and the web development team focuses on the team's website and data analysis. No matter which division a member is in, they all work together to ensure the robot is ready for battle.

ELECTRICAL

Powering the robot, the Electrical Team meticulously designs and implements efficient electrical systems used for the bot. From wiring to power distribution, they ensure the robotic creations operate at their best when fighting other bots.

DESIGN

Working closely with the Mechanical Team, the Design Team ensures the robot is not only functional and meets competition standards, but also aesthetically pleasing. They design the robot's exterior, ensuring it is both visually appealing and functional.

BUSINESS + MEDIA

The Business and Media Team is responsible for the team's public image, social media, and sponsorships. They work to secure sponsorships, manage the team's finances, and ensure the team's presence is known both on and off the competition field.
